Fallout 76 Season 3 and 2021 Community Calendar

Hello Wastelanders,

Last week marked the start of Fallout 76 Scribe of Avalon Season 3. This season we get two new allies as rewards for ranking up our SCORE which is exciting. I've heard that they may also offer some unique recipes/plans as part of their retail inventory, so be on the lookout and save come caps to pick up these new plans too!

This season also adds Fallout 1st exclusive rewards at certain levels of the season gameboard. These will unlock automatically if you have fallout first when you claim the base reward for that level. Keep that in mind as you claim your rewards. Nothing worse than looking out on your scrip or caps because your character is already at max.

My thoughts on seasons, is that we need to have more incorporation to the game world. If this season is about time traveling to stop a villain, have them make a surprise appearance in the wasteland, or an random encounter with NPCs discussing the plot of the game/comic it is based on. If you wear some of the clothing specific to the Season characters, then we could even have NPCs make an offhand comment or think they ran into the real-life character. Imagine an NPC running up and being star struck by "the Silver Shroud in the Flesh!". This will add a little emersion into the Season and be a little more fun than the insult bot or winning the Great Appalachian sweepstakes.

Bethesda also introduced a new Community Calendar, though it is extremely hard to find if you don't look in the right spot. Nothing has been mentioned in the Fallout.bethesda.net page, and I didn't see it on the community forums when it was released either. No, this came to us by way of tweet. Guess we've got to keep our eyes on all the channels to get all the Fallout news.

The upcoming events are all reruns of previous events. We've got Fashnaught, Treasure Hunter Mole Miners, Purveyor sales, double score and xp weekends amongst other things. Nothing on the calendar points to new content. So we'll have to wait until 2021 to know more about the second half of the Brotherhood of Steel storyline as well as the introduction of new daily ops.

For me I'm ok with a bit of a slowdown. I've got a job to keep up with, and Fallout can't be it. Gives me some breathing room to catch up with all the new unique plans from Daily Ops and maybe even start up a new character. I still haven't gotten any plans for the BOS armor from Daily Ops and its been out three weeks. YIKES, hopefully you are having better luck.

Good luck on your adventures and have fun with the new season!
